Hollyburn Smack Doubles #1
Our juniors don't usually get much doubles experience in BC so the first Hollyburn Junior Doubles, Dec. 10
-12, was a refreshing opportunity. Doubles is good for their volleying skills,
developing quick hands, and tactical and movement-related skills.
They're also good for social interaction and team work.
And doubles is fun! Thank you, Hollyburn.

Stacy Fung. Sam and Khalil beat top seeded Max Korkh and Daniel Foxcroft
in the Boys' 14 Doubles semis, 6-2, 6-1 but came up short against more
experienced doubles players, Arisha and Stacy, in the final. Arisha
and Stacy took home the Boys' 14 Doubles trophy!

Mark Nguyen, left, and Daniel Raw, who each lost to Todd Fought earlier
in the singles, faced him again in the Boys' 18
Doubles. They lost in the final to Todd and his partner, Daniel Budd,
6-3, 6-3.
This year only U14 and U18 doubles were offered. We are
looking forward in seeing more doubles and more categories next year.
